Andorra la Vella is the capital of Andorra. It is regarded as the 5th smallest capital in Europe with a population size of approximately 22,000 people (The Vatican City being the smallest capital with 800 people). The main attractions of the town comprises of its duty-free shopping and the Caldea. The Caldea is the town’s Thermal Spa Centre. It’s known to be the largest Spa Centre in Southern Europe at 30,000 square metres. The capital has many daytrips that are worth exploring; this includes the regions of Canillo, La Massana, and Ordino. The region of Canillo has the ski resort ‘Grandvalira’, which is the largest in Andorra. The region of La Massana has the ‘Church of Sant Climent de Pal’, which is the oldest church in the country. And finally, the region of Ordino has the ski resort ‘Arcalis’, which is the smallest in Andorra.
